Ritual River(2019)

Current collection, expressed with Korean mood, embeds a message bringing consolation to one’s mind through sacred ritual and action, in the world that is changing rapidly.

Its form has taken motif from the ritualistic utensils from the Gaya confederacy (AD 42-532), as its clean and soft lines create calming sensations.

The clear and soft surface of glass is contrasted to the idiosyncratic texture created with Ottchil (Korean lacquer), a technique researched by Jeongeun Kang, creating distinctive texture combination to stimulate visual and tactile sensations.
